Cub Scout Pack 1201 was chartered in 2012, just a year after Blackshear Elementary was opened. We are a growing organization, with roughly 30 Cub Scouts. We strive to maintain a strong level of Pack and Den activity. We believe the success of the Pack is a function of the involvement and support of our Cub Scout parents and guardians. Cub Scouting is a family adventure, and we encourage everyone to participate.

Our mission is that of the Boy Scouts of America, which is "to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law." Cub Scouts is the first phase of that mission, where young people are equipped to become responsible, participating citizens and leaders. ​
